About

El Niño Training Center is a top premiere training and fitness facility in mixed martial arts. We cater to all levels whether new to the sport or training for a professional competition. Our style is constantly evolving based on practices founded in: American & Braziilian Jiu Jitsu, Wooden Man Muay Thai, Wrestling, Boxing – and optimized by Athletic Performance Training and Sports Medicine.

Although our coaches are elite in their respected fields, they share a passion for understanding the art of combat as a whole. Our edge is in how we integrate these disciplines, preserving their authenticity while aligning them towards a single, adaptable way of fighting.

Every athlete has a team of people around him or her, helping them stay healthy, recover from injuries, and perform their best. Dr. Peter Goldman is one of these people for many of the best MMA fighters in the Bay Area and beyond. Albert Salopek, LAc ATC CMT

Albert Salopek has been working in Sports Medicine as a Certified Athletic Trainer for almost two decades. To compliment his deep understanding of Western Sports Medicine, Albert holds a Master's Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a Licensed Acupuncturist. Albert has been an injury consultant to the Oakland Raiders since 2001. During practices, home games and on the road for away games, he is there to assist in the treatment, rehabilitation and recovery from injuries. Albert is also the Head Therapist for MMA Champion Gilbert Melendez and the El Niño Training Center, Team Woodenman Muay Thai and Skrap Pack fight team. Click this link to learn more.
